My First Post! (Hogwarts Sock Exchange Questionnaire)

I'd hoped to have something fancier going, to start up my first blog ever, but it'll be a bit more pedestrian than that, I'm afraid!

MY ANSWERS FOR THE HOGWARTS EXCHANGE:

1. What Hogwarts house have you been sorted into?
I am in Ravenclaw.

2. Shoe size? Foot length? Foot circumference?
I am a women's 8-and-a-half. Length is 9 inches. Circumference (around instep) is about 8 and a quarter inches.

3. List your three favorite sock yarns.
In no particular order...
a. Lorna's Laces
b. Bearfoot
c. Sockotta

4. Would you like to try a new brand of sock yarn? If so, which brand?
I'd love to...especially the Socks That Rock yarn, or maybe Tofutsies, neither of which is available to me locally.

5. Do you prefer variegated or solid sock yarn?
No preference, although I do enjoy a good colorway. It really depends on the pattern, and for whom I'm knitting.

6. What colors would you like to add to your sock yarn stash?
Anything! One can *never* have too much stash! ;o)


7. What kind of sock patterns do you gravitate toward? Lace? Ribbed? Fair Isle?
I enjoy all kinds of sock patterns, especially color-stranded ones, and ones with texture (lace or other textured stitches). Ribbed stuff tends to put me in a coma....


8. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, animals, etc.)
I have no allergies.


9. Will your socks be exposed to cigarette smoke or animals as you knit them?
I do live with kitties, so there's a possibility of stray cat hairs, but (since I have a wool-eating cat) I have to keep knitting and roomies pretty separated, so it wouldn't be too bad.


10. Are you willing to have an international Hogwarts Sock Pal?
